Supplier Quality Assurance Lead
Salary: £48k - £55k per annum + Bonus & Great Benefits Package
Location: Heanor, Derbyshire
Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid WorkingWe are currently seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Lead to join an established Quality department, based in Derbyshire. This role is essential in managing Quality Systems for a large M&E manufacturing company and working closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
Manage and oversee the Integrated Management System (IMS), including the Quality Management System.
Work with suppliers to ensure adherence to agreed standards
Ensure compliance with third-party accreditations and maintain the company's registration to ISO9001.
Collaborate with other departments for consistent documentation creation, control, and conformance.
Drive operational excellence that meets or exceeds quality standards.
Implement lean principles to reduce waste and promote a 'world class' quality culture.
Monitor compliance to company procedures and legislative requirements through audits.
Work with the HSE officer to maintain ISO14001, ISO45001 registrations and integrate HSE processes into the IMS.
Support the CE/UKCA Marking process and chair monthly Quality meetings.
Coordinate inspection resources and collate quality data to drive improvements.
Manage a team of Quality Engineers & Inspectors, providing leadership and support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Solid experience dealing with suppliers from within the M&E sphere
Experience in QMS system generation, management, and auditing.
Essential qualifications in Quality Assurance Modules and Internal Auditing of Management Systems.
Desirable: HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, CQI Level 4 or equivalent qualifications.
Knowledge of Fabrication and Welding processes, NDT processes, and the ability to read Engineering drawings is advantageous.
Understanding of CDM - Principal Designer & Principal Contractor duties is also not a must but would be useful.
