Ensure suppliers understand and comply with the company’s quality and HSE requirements.
Supplier Audits and Evaluations:
Perform regular audits of suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance with quality and HSE standards.
Evaluate supplier performance using key metrics (e.g., defect rates, delivery times, HSE incidents) and provide feedback for improvement.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop corrective action plans when quality or HSE issues are identified.
Sub-Contractor Management:
Oversee and manage sub-contractors from an HSE and quality perspective, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Ensure that sub-contractors have robust HSE management systems in place and are actively working to mitigate risks.
Monitor sub-contractor performance and forecast potential risks or issues related to quality, HSE, and delivery timelines.
Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality and HSE issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., manufacturing, engineering) to address quality-related production issues linked to supplier materials or sub-contractor activities.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure sub-contractors take appropriate action to prevent recurrence.
Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure open communication and prompt resolution of any issues.
Work closely with procurement to negotiate and enforce quality and HSE terms in supplier and sub-contractor contracts.
Support suppliers and sub-contractors in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and environmental performance.
Forecasting and Reporting:
Forecast potential quality and HSE risks related to supplier and sub-contractor activities, and develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain detailed records of supplier and sub-contractor quality and HSE performance, including audit results and corrective actions.
Generate regular reports for management on supplier and sub-contractor quality, HSE performance, and areas of concern.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and HSE requirements are clearly communicated and understood by suppliers and sub-contractors.
Participate in cross-functional teams to support product development, process improvements, and HSE initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in supply chain or manufacturing environments.
* Experience with supplier management and quality assurance processes, with a focus on HSE compliance.

* Knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
* Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar certification is preferred. HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH) are a plus.
* Travel: Ability to travel to supplier and sub-contractor sites as needed (up to 30%).
