As the Corporate Head of Service - Mental Health, you will play a pivotal role in the collective and constructive leadership in Kingston upin Thames. Working as a member of the Corporate Leadership Group, you will provide the leadership necessary to create conditions for success, working seamlessly across organisational boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide effective project leadership to ensure that cross-cutting and service-related projects achieve desired outcomes.
Influence the commissioning of services and activities to secure the best outcomes for service users while delivering optimum value for money, in alignment with commissioning and contract management frameworks.
Translate internal and external intelligence to continually adapt and improve the service in line with demand.
Manage the performance of the service, collaborating with colleagues to define outcomes, set targets, and monitor performance within a culture of continual improvement.
Lead the transformation in culture within the Mental Health team and alongside partner organisations, fostering asset strength-based conversations with residents and their families to promote self-care and positive behaviour changes enhancing health and well-being.
Drive the reduction of demand for long-term support by developing services that maximise individual's independence and effectively signpost people to networks of support within the community.
Transform the relationship between the Council and residents, establishing a new offer focusing on individual and community resilience.Requirements:
Proven experience in senior leadership roles within mental health services or related fields.
Strong project management skills with a track record of achieving desired outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of commissioning and contract management frameworks.
A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
