Siemens Healthineers is seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Technical Support Engineer - Ultrasound. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of a home and field-based engineer, where expertise in both on-site and remote troubleshooting and support will be pivotal in driving the customer experience.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing field service activities performed by external partners, providing technical assistance to customers remotely, and coordinating on-site visits when necessary.
In this Technical Support Engineer role, you can expect to:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in your region, manage service incidents and create and allocate tickets in the Service Management System
* Pre-clarify customer issues, provide remote technical assistance and troubleshooting and determine if on-site intervention is required
* Offer remote, guidance to customers and partner onsite field engineers, instructing them on necessary steps to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
* Utilise remote access tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
* Create quotes and cost estimates for customers requiring in-field actions
To apply for this Technical Support Engineer role, you will need an HNC in Engineering or a related field and proven experience as a Remote Support Engineer or supporting engineers/customers remotely. You will also require the following:
* Strong technical knowledge in the medical device industry, specifically ultrasound
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage and coordinate activities with external partner field service engineers
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficiency in using remote access tools and diagnostic equipment.
