The Opportunity
 

As The Data and Insight Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operational teams with clear data and insight to ensure its efficient and effective running, assure its compliant, and evolve its operating model through driving automation and pro-active, data-driven decision-making. 
 

As a key member of the management team, you will be expected to build a high performing team, make operational decisions and define and deliver change and data strategies.

What you’ll be doing
 

Collaboratively working with the other areas of Core and Metering Solutions, you’ll ensure all our teams are working effectively and efficiently. Looking at continuously improving the department by taking data led decisions ensuring we are focusing on the right customers at the right time. 
 

People
•    Sustain a team culture of customer focus, passion and continuous improvement, by living the example, embedding the right behaviours, mindful of individual and team wellbeing.
•    Develop and coach a high performing data management team with appropriate skills, expertise and talent development. 
•    Develop (within the team) strong functional relationships and interfaces with stakeholders including Sales, IT, service providers and regulatory bodies including effective two-way escalation management with proactive monitoring / actioning of feedback.

Data
•    Define & execute the data strategy, approach and operational plan. A key deliverable will be developing the Process Library and Main Model for the entire Onboarding & Billing area ensuring alignment across internal functions & teams as well as our offshore partners & virtual workforce.
•    Define and own data dashboards used to manage the daily operation
•    Reliably deliver and continuously review all reporting to ensure we can reliably & accurately track and improve the operation and provide (internal) customer with insights that exceed service expectations – ultimately assuring our delivery of the MTP
•    Lead a detailed evaluation (consulting with other experts where appropriate) of the existing requirements, capability, model, risks and opportunities and develop a robust strategy, model, organisation and plan to deliver that strategy and implement appropriate processes, architecture and contracts to meet the key objective of data excellence.

Automation
•    Responsible for understanding and developing the business functional requirements of the Oracle system, raising requests into Oracle Systems & Transition team, undertaking User Acceptance Testing and acceptance approval and ensuring appropriate prioritisation placed on system incidents and change requests.
•    Responsible for defining and executing the roadmap for non-Oracle automation, working with our internal teams to identify and deliver opportunities for efficiency through intelligent automation solutions.
•    Lead the delivery of systems and processes that ensures the right level of data integrity and accuracy to maximise customers’ portfolio profitability.

Operation
•    Deliver actions aligned to the strategy for the billing of the EBS customer base, meeting billing targets and SLAs whilst maintaining effective relationships with customers.
•    Oversee systems of work to control compliance, audit and relevant regulatory change of the data processing activities to meet industry standards and legal requirements such as Standards of Conduct and industry Balancing & Settlement Code (BSC).
•    Drive development of the complex end to end operational billing plan and all key milestones, holding stakeholders to account and communicating progress to Senior Managers, escalating if appropriate.
•    Assure all Billing activity is delivered to a consistently high standard and compliant with regulatory process requirements (i.e. micro business requirements and overarching billing codes).


Who you are 
 

We’re looking for someone who has experience in successfully managing broad multifunctional teams/activities together with experience in leading significant change and improvement projects.
 

You’ll be a a strong communicator and presenter with the proven ability to work independently, as a team member and in a leadership role, demonstrating organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills, combined with coaching and leadership capabilities.
