A highly reputable advisory consultancy is looking for an experienced CFO/FD to join their leadership team, to help drive the business forward. A leader in their field, this organisation is currently undergoing a period of positive change and is looking for a seasoned & qualified individual from the creative sector to partner with the CEO to facilitate this and strengthen their financial position.

This role requires an adaptable and forward-thinking individual with a proven track record in leading experienced teams, taking overall responsibility for the company's financials whilst positioning them well for a potential future sale.

You will be the right-hand person to the CEO, the CFO will have an ongoing impact on the day-to-day business operations. You will implement financial strategy, and drive commercial awareness across all business activities through extensive analysis, insight and planning. You will need to be a seasoned strategist, with experience in private equity and M&A, whilst also having a proven ability to drive, adapt and manage change.

A key figure in the leadership team you will need to be comfortable with managing stakeholder relationships and be able to lead a company through due diligence. You will be a real people person, have a natural gravitas and be comfortable in a role that requires clear and effective communication skills across a global footprint. It is essential that you hold a professional accountancy qualification and have extensive post qualified experience whilst being able to demonstrate the attributes required to undertake this challenging yet, potentially very rewarding, role.

Responsibilities of the role include:nPartner with the CEO & leadership to drive strategy and improve the financial positioning of the business to ensure continued future success.nTake full responsibility (direct or via your team) for the cash management, investments, budgeting, forecasting, analyses, and hiring needsnCoordinate the development and reporting, of annual operating, capital budgets; Develop budgeting proposals, provide access to project finance information and ensure contract compliance & effective reportingnMonitor business performance with tracking tools, establish/implement corrective measures and prepare detailed SMT reportingnResearch revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse operations and identify cost reduction and/or process enhancementsnPerform risk analysis, analyse company liabilities & investments and evaluate and manage capital structure, and fundraising initiatives, if requirednManage the UK & International finance teams and financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entitiesnPrepare the due diligence financial information required if the company decides to position itself for salenDevelop and implement best practices & tools, ensuring a controlled, yet flexible environment across all financial activities.

Candidate specification:nFully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with extensive PQE (min 10 years)nProven CFO/FD experience with exposure to working across an international financial landscape, ideally within the Media/Creative or similar sectornHands on M&A ExperiencenExcellent leadership skills with steadfast resolve and integritynAble to demonstrate a natural gravitas and be highly personable, being easily able to gain the trust and confidence of othersnExceptional verbal, written & visual communication skillsnSolid understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues & tax planning.
