Role: Manufacturing Project Engineer
Location: Remote (initial training on-site in Ilfracombe: 2-4 weeks)
Duration: 12 months (scope for extensions)
Rate: Negotiable on experience
OUTSIDE IR35
Projects Engineer to be part of project team to achieve site agreed goals and implement new equipment on time and within budget to meet business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Line Management Responsibility:
Own individual project within team and achieve agreed goals.
Provide support and guidance to Engineering and Technical team for all activity within remit.
Daily Engineering activities and support to each project within remit
Financial/Budget Responsibility:
Advise on machinery or component costs, i.e. spare parts, new equipment, tooling.
Control spend for Engineering projects within own remitPOSITION COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge & Key Skills:
Hands on experience in Manufacturing Engineering/ Projects Engineering Department
Validation experience both hands on and creating documentation. (FAT/SAT/IQOQPQ)
Proven Problem solving experience.
Participate as part of a small team of Engineers and Technicians
Able to liaise/interact with vendors, design engineers and suppliers
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft packages, Lotus Notes, AutoCAD
Understanding and working practice of lean tools and techniques
Understanding and working practice of statistical tools (Six Sigma)
Knowledge of Project management
Good Knowledge in development, manufacture, and validation of new equipmentEssential Qualiifcation:
Degree in Project engineering role, Mechanical Engineering or similar related discipline or a min 3 years in similar role
MAIN DUTIES:
Develop, Purchase and introduce new machinery using FAT/SAT/IQOQ/PQ validation process including generation of this documentation inline with standards.
Manage machine vendors on build reviews and schedules to plan
Ability to prepare and present Technical reports, understand how to generate data and how to analyse using statistical tools to justify equipment meets requirements.
Support generation of Production documentation including Specifications, Training Instructions and PDS'
Utilise Lean tools and techniques to demonstrate good project management to meet Targets.
Hold regular reviews/updates at all levels on projects inc. individual reviews on progress.
Liaise with subcontract toolmakers, machine builders in manufacture of jigs and fixtures & new equipment.
Liaise with Engineers in UK, Puerto Rico & Korea who will be supporting Projects.To apply please send your CVs in the first instance
