Falcon Green is currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to work with a privately-owned, award-winning main contractor. The Health & Safety Officer will work across a groundbreaking £116M mixed-use development based in Cambridge that is due to run well into 2025, with a pipeline of upcoming projects.

As an experienced Health & Safety Officer, with relevant experience working on a construction site, you will play an important role in ensuring all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:nDevelop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and practices on site.nEnsure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards.nConduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.nProvide health and safety training to all site personnel, ensuring everyone is aware of their responsibilities and best practices.nLead investigations into any incidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.nMaintain accurate records of health and safety activities, incidents, and compliance, reporting to senior management as required.nLiaise with site managers, contractors, and external bodies to promote a culture of safety and ensure effective communication of health and safety issues.

Qualifications & Experience:nNEBOSH or equivalent. IOSH membership preferrednMinimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry, with experience on large-scale residential projects.nStrong knowledge of health and safety legislation, excellent communication and training skills, and the ability to influence and engage with a diverse team.nCommitment to promoting a safe working environment
