Process Engineer (Mechanical) – SE London – £35-45 per hour (DOE) Umbrella – Contract (Initially 6 months – up to 2 years)

Primary Purpose:nSupport the industrialisation of high-reliability submerged products, ensuring efficient and compliant production. Responsibilities include evaluating prototypes, defining assembly procedures and tooling, and improving manufacturing processes. The role supports critical global infrastructure through the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:nWork on NPI Projects introduce new high reliability submerged products into production.nEvaluate prototype parts/assembly, provide feedback for assembly procedure and design improvement.nReview and validate contract documentation (drawings, bill of materials).nDefine tooling and equipment for product assembly.nWrite build specifications for new and existing products.nProcure tooling/equipment to meet development and production plans.nDefine standard build times and create build steps.nInstruct and advise operators on assembly.nWrite Extra Work Authorisation (EWA) for investigations.nAnalyse and improve production processes.nConduct process audits and ensure compliance.

Requirements:nMechanical/Industrial/Production/Engineering Degree.nExperience in technical/manufacturing environment.nOrganised and methodical problem-solving approach.nExperience in a highly regulated engineering environmentnFamiliarity with ISO9001/TL9000, Lean, Six Sigma.nKnowledge of PUWER, LOLER HSE Regulations
