**What You Will Do:**
As an Accounts Assistant, your role will be integral to the finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pursuing outstanding invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records.
- Ensuring suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Investigating and resolving purchase ledger queries.
- Preparing payment batches and managing bank reconciliations.
- Entering sales invoices, allocating receipts, and managing aged debtors.
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.
**What You Will Bring:**
The ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant position will possess the following:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role.
- Proficiency in computerised accounting systems, preferably SAGE Line 50.
- Strong knowledge of MS Windows-based software, including spreadsheets and databases.
- A proactive attitude, with a desire to learn and grow within the role.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong customer service focus.
