Position: SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator)
Location: Ealing, London
Start Date: September 2024
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support for students with SEND
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Oversee the assessment and monitoring of students' progress
  • Provide training and support to staff on SEND strategies and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies related to SEND

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) is essential
  • Proven experience in a SENDCo role or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
