Vice President LP-led Secondaries

We are currently working with one of the top global Secondaries funds that is looking to hire a Vice President for LP-led Secondaries. It’s a lean team with great career progression and an excellent culture. This role requires a deep understanding of the Secondaries market, particularly in LP-led transactions, including portfolio sales, tail-end liquidity solutions, and other complex secondary structures. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in Private Equity Secondaries, a strong network in this ecosystem, and the ability to manage and mentor associates on the team.



Key Responsibilitie s

  • Help in developing and executing strategies for LP-led secondary investments, aligning with the firm’s objectives
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities in the LP-led market, including portfolio acquisitions and fund interest sales
  • Source new investment opportunities through direct outreach, intermediaries, and industry relationships
  • Deeply involved in the entire transaction process, including assessment, financial modeling, due diligence, structuring, and negotiation
  • Maintain and expand relationships with LPs, GPs, and other market participants to stay ahead of trends
  • Represent the firm at industry events to strengthen its profile in the LP-led secondary market


Requiremen t

  • 5+ years of experience in private equity secondaries, with a focus on LP-led transaction
  • Proven track record of sourcing, executing, and managing complex secondary transaction
  • Extensive network within the private equity and secondary markets, particularly among LPs and intermediaries
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and mentoring a team of investment professionals
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal structuring abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies to senior management and investors
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is preferred
