CK Group are recruiting for a Business Development Manager, to join a growing independent Biotechnology company at their site based in Nottingham on a permanent basis. This is fantastic opportunity for someone with proven sales experience with the Life Sciences/CRO space. The Company: GLP accredited contract research laboratory, that provides Histology services to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Sectors. The Role: This is a client facing role, and would suit a highly motivated individual with proven sales experience selling CRO services within the life sciences industry. Experience in histology is preferred, but training will be provided. Responsibilities : To maintain and develop client base across the Pharma/biotech/CRO’s sectors To arrange and undertake client visits throughout the UK, Europe and the US and be part of various exhibitions To work with clients to understand their requirements and generate project proposals To make appropriate connections with other services providers for potential collaboration opportunities Your Background: PhD qualified in life sciences or equivalent and commercial experience or prior sales background in selling CRO services (histology and IHC preferred) Business development experience in pharmaceutical biotech and/or CRO space Industrial experience in the biotech sector with knowledge of regulatory standards (GLP, ISO etc) Demonstrated ability to grow customer accounts Client focused approach with the ability to build strong client relationships Willingness to travel Internationally Apply : It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
