ResponsibilitiesnLead analysis of customer quality issues and drive cross-functional and cross-national resolution teams using the 8D problem-solving process, project management, and Global Quality tools through close cooperation with New Product Development, Marketing, and MissionOPS departments to drive resolution of all quality issues.nOwn tracking, trending, forecasting, and budgeting for MSA global warranty dollarsnWork alongside Product Concern Specialists (PCSs) to review historical Customer Quality Notifications (CQNs) and Warranty Orders to identify top drivers, determine root cause, and drive corrective actionsnConduct quarterly meetings with MissionOPS, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to review warranty trends, present potential corrective actions, and gain alignment on resources to address issues with Requests for Engineering Assistance (RFEAs)nEnsure past warranty drivers are designed out of next generation products via historical analysis, quality change scope definition, and verification testing input.nParticipate in DFMEAs and PFMEAs as part of New Product Development projects as well as changes made to legacy products as a result of VAVEs, VSMs, Engineering Changes, or other product improvement initiatives.nUtilize PowerBI to develop dashboards to optimize data capture and data mining to identify trends, ideate solutions, and drive results.nLead cross-functional teams when Stop Production or Stop Ship situations arise to identify root cause, drive resolution, and aid production to resume shipping. Once corrective actions have been defined, responsible for working with global inventory owners to address existing inventory.nUp to 10% domestic and international travelnQualifications:nPractioner of quality methods and toolsnExcellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.nSolid interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence attitudes and behaviors.nProven ability to simultaneously and independently manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, lead projects, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.nDemonstrated ability to drive execution of projects including the ability to identify and act upon potential improvements.nAbility to review mechanical and electrical schematics, procedures, specifications, agency requirements, and industry standardsnSolid IT knowledge: MS Office (advanced Excel skills) and ERP system use
Education & Experience Required:nBachelor’s or Master’s degree; preferably Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of studynThis position is available at multiple career levels based upon experience and education:nLevel one (Staff I): Entry Level, no relevant industry experiencenLevel two (Staff II): 2 years of relevant industry experiencenLevel three (Staff III): 3 years of relevant industry experiencenLevel four (Sr. Staff): 5 years of relevant industry experiencenPreferred:nLean Six Sigma Green / Black BeltnLead ISO9001 AuditornExperience in a global / manufacturing multi-site organizationnKnowledge of the MSA Operating System, Continuous Improvement Tools (Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving Tools, etc.)nExperience with industrial productsnExperience with SAP, Atlassian, Power BI, Minitab
