Group Financial Controller

What you'll do:nEnsure reliable financial administration, including monthly and annual closing.nProvide insightful analysis, budgets, and management reports, identifying opportunities and threats for the business.nManage the preparation of statutory financial statements and handle tax matters.nLead and mentor the client's finance and administration team, fostering their continuous development.nCollaborate with the Managing Director to co-formulate annual business plans and monitor execution.nDeliver impactful presentations on financial performance and business forecasts to the board.nDevelop scenarios and corrective measures to ensure business plan success.nContribute to improved business performance through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.nEvaluate business cases, investment proposals, and revenue models.nProactively identify changing circumstances and potential new business models.nAnalyse business results against budgets and strategic objectives.nLeverage Business Intelligence to unearth opportunities and risks.nOrganise planning and control cycles, composing monthly forecasts.nActively participate in new business development initiatives.nAdvise on large tenders and ensure optimal business margins.nMonitor pricing and propose strategies for margin optimisation.nManage and develop the client's finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.nCollaborate effectively across departments to deliver exceptional service.
What you bring:nQualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller.nProven experience in weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting.nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.nExcellent communication and presentation skills.nLeadership experience and the ability to mentor others.nProficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.nKnowledge of MS Dynamics 365 a plus.nWorking knowledge of IFRS, CIS, VAT and Payroll.nExperience in the construction industry is preferred.
