What you'll do:

  • Ensure reliable financial administration, including monthly and annual closing.
  • Provide insightful analysis, budgets, and management reports, identifying opportunities and threats for the business.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements and handle tax matters.
  • Lead and mentor the client's finance and administration team, fostering their continuous development.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to co-formulate annual business plans and monitor execution.
  • Deliver impactful presentations on financial performance and business forecasts to the board.
  • Develop scenarios and corrective measures to ensure business plan success.
  • Contribute to improved business performance through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and revenue models.
  • Proactively identify changing circumstances and potential new business models.
  • Analyse business results against budgets and strategic objectives.
  • Leverage Business Intelligence to unearth opportunities and risks.
  • Organise planning and control cycles, composing monthly forecasts.
  • Actively participate in new business development initiatives.
  • Advise on large tenders and ensure optimal business margins.
  • Monitor pricing and propose strategies for margin optimisation.
  • Manage and develop the client's finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to deliver exceptional service.

What you bring:

  • Qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller.
  • Proven experience in weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 a plus.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS, CIS, VAT and Payroll.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
