SRG is partnered with a Clinical CRO , based in Europe, with a rich history within the industry. Having had huge success over the last couple of decades, they have had consistent repeat business due to their emphasis on long-term relationships and high quality services. They're now looking to expand upon this and add a Director Business Development to lead their Business Development efforts and increase revenue for the company.


This is truly a unique opportunity to take a leap forward in your career, whether you're a Business Development Manager looking to make your next career step, or an experienced Director Business Development wishing to make a bigger impact . This is the definition of high impact .


It's worth noting however that you will be laying the foundations of the Business Development department, building it out from scratch and working directly with the Executive team to create a long-term strategy to be as effective as possible. This position is for someone that is not shy of added responsibility and expectations.


As the Director Business Development you can expect to:


  • Create an effective Sales / Business Development strategy & territory plans.
  • Work with the leadership team for Proposals and Bid Defenses.
  • Assist with any budget or contract negotiations where required.
  • Maintain and develop existing relationships and cultivate new ones.
  • Work closely with the operational / technical team to keep track of study status for projects with clients.
  • Prospect and obtain new business opportunities with current and new clients.

What do you need to be considered?


  • 5+ years of Business Development / Sales experience in the Clinical CRO space.
  • Direct experience hunting for new business.
  • Ability to travel across the UK (and London on occasion to begin with).
  • Evidence of Sales numbers and targets achieved over the last few years.
