About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in challenging behaviours to join our dedicated team. This full-time, long-term position is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with diverse needs and helping them overcome obstacles to achieve their full potential. You will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with challenging behaviours, ensuring they can engage fully with their learning environment and make positive progress.
Application Requirements:
• Experience: Proven experience working with students with challenging behaviours, preferably within a primary school setting.
• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Behaviour Management are highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a deep understanding of strategies to support and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
• Commitment: A genuine commitment to enhancing the educational experience of students with SEN and a collaborative approach to working with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours, ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies, working closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to create tailored intervention plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate students’ needs.
