Title: Summer Youth Enterprise Facilitator

About the Role:

We are excited to announce the opportunity for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our team as Summer Youth Enterprise Facilitators. This role is central to the success of our Youth Enterprise Market Challenge Program, designed to empower young entrepreneurs by providing them with the skills and knowledge to launch their own businesses. If you are enthusiastic about mentoring and have a knack for facilitating educational content, we encourage you to apply.

Program Details:

  • School and College Presentations: 2-3 days of presentations in late June 2024, possibly half-days, across various educational institutions in Cambridge.
  • Boot Camps: July 1st to July 4th, 2024 at Cambourne Library (AM sessions) and Central Library, Cambridge (PM sessions).
  • One-to-One Online Mentorship: Bi-weekly sessions from July 8th to August 16th, 2024, via Google Meet. Each session lasts 30-45 minutes.
  • Field-Based Sessions: September 7th and September 14th, 2024.
  • Program Finale - 21st of September


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver program content effectively to groups of young entrepreneurs.
  • Engage participants and manage session logistics.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and support, particularly in developing business plans.
  • Travel between locations as required for boot camps and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in educational facilitation or business mentoring.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel between session locations as needed.
  • Passionate about youth development and entrepreneurship.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Must have a valid DBS check or be willing to undertake one.

Compensation:

  • £25 per hour, inclusive of all time spent in sessions, mentorship, and any travel time and expenses incurred during the boot camps and school presentations.
