We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) with a specialism in Challenging Behaviours to join our vibrant primary school community in Cheshunt, London. This full-time, long-term position is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing essential support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a TA in a primary school setting, with a focus on SEN and challenging behaviours.
• Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable.
• Strong behaviour management skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Understanding of the national curriculum and strategies for supporting SEN students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, focusing on those with challenging behaviours.
• Implement and manage effective behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
• Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
