The position is based at our client's scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying between £29,719 and £39,857 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.
This role will focus on supporting the Fragrance Capability data analytics workstream working as a member of the core project Fragrance Capability team. The responsibilities will include leveraging existing and new data management systems within UL and its ecosystem of partners to analyse large volumes of data. This role will also be responsible to create impactful visuals that can help teams generate insight from underlying data. The role will interface with a cross functional team, supporting their data queries and develop novel ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of UL's fragrance data management.
We are seeking someone with a strong flair for handling complex data sets. The person should feel comfortable in managing multiple large data sets to derive and illustrate summary trends and scenarios whilst also having keen attention to detail. Team working and communication skills are essential as the role will involve interfacing across multiple business functions and roles.
Key Tasks
Data Management: Data orchestration and cleansing from a wide variety of data sources and types. Work with appropriate business groups to interpret, consolidate, and manage data.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse consumer and market data to identify trends and insights that can inform fragrance development and strategy.
Data Quality Management: Ensure the integrity and quality of fragrance data, including compliance with relevant regulations.
Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve data processes and systems to enhance fragrance capability and innovation, underpinned by strong working relationships.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, procurement, and supply chain to identify data requirements and share insights.Key Requirements
Chemistry/Engineering/Mathematical degree preferred especially if linked with some Business-related modules
Proficient in data management tools and software, as well as knowledge of data structuring and database systems
Proficient within Power BI for data modelling, visualisation, and data analysis
Ability to engage and perform in a cross-functional team
Desirable, but not essential - Python, SQL, AI/ML concepts, SAP PLM experienceAdditional Information
