The Role
We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping our understanding of waterway usage, infrastructure performance, and environmental impact. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data from diverse sources to generate insightful reports and support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and process data from various sources, including supplier portals and internal databases, to create comprehensive reports on waterway operations and performance.
- Develop and maintain automated processes for data collection and analysis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize Power BI or similar visualization tools to present data in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, enabling stakeholders to readily understand key trends and insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify data needs, develop reporting requirements, and translate complex information into actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and data-driven decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in data analysis, with a strong understanding of data manipulation techniques and statistical concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL or other database query languages for extracting and manipulating data.
- Expertise in Power BI or similar data visualization tools to create compelling dashboards and reports.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify patterns and trends within complex datasets.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
