Join our client's team as a Business Development Manager, driving growth in the battery business across the UK with a focus on existing customers and new business opportunities.
About the Client
 Our client is a leading player in the battery industry, dedicated to expanding their market presence through innovative products and exceptional customer relationships.
Roles/Responsibilities
Present new products and enhance existing trading relationships.
Operate within the CRM environment and provide regular updates to colleagues and management.
Analyze customer purchase trends, identify gaps in offerings, and highlight sales growth opportunities.
Support customers with promotional activities and organize marketing support.
Identify potential new customers and decision-makers within organizations and build relationships.
Collaborate with the technical team and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and provide feedback on market trends.
Identify opportunities for sales campaigns, marketing, and services that will lead to increased sales.
Present to and consult with senior management on business trends to develop new products and services.
Manage customer pricing and benchmark against competitors.
Track and review customers’ performance against targets.
Present regular updates detailing current performance and sales pipeline.Qualifications
Previous experience as a Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager is essential.
At least 5 years of relevant battery industry experience with different battery technologies and chemistries, including Lithium.
Experience within the renewable energy sector covering PV and inverter-based systems.
Proven record of achieving revenue targets.
Experience selling to Distributors/B2B customers is essential.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to build customer relationships.
Confident and tenacious.
Highly motivated and focused on achieving agreed objectives.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.Salary: £45k - £65k
