We are seeking an Contracts Manager (Construction) to oversee several upcoming projects ranging from £500k to £5m. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead teams through all phases of project development, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This leadership role also involves contributing to broader business development and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field
- CSCS / IOSH certification
- Membership in a chartered body (ICE / CIOB) is desirable

Required Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years experience
- Experience on similar scale projects with a main contractor in civils, buildings, or infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of construction design and methods
- Strong commercial and contractual expertise
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and direct delivery teams

Responsibilities:

- Lead multiple projects through their entire lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental Standards
- Drive project acquisition and procurement, developing delivery strategies
- Build and maintain the Supply Chain
- Create and update Project Plans
- Develop and monitor Project Programmes and Controls
- Manage design processes with architects and consultants, ensuring quality standards
- Oversee Project Teams and Subcontractors
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to achieve financial targets
- Foster staff development and training
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement
- Provide periodic reporting
- Work with the Business Leadership Team to enhance business processes and promote continuous improvement
