Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting individuals with mental health conditions, providing personalized care, and promoting independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish trusting relationships with clients and provide empathetic support.
Advocate for clients` needs and rights within the community and healthcare system.
Assist clients in accessing appropriate resources and services.
Collaborate with clients to develop individualized care plans based on their goals and needs.
Implement and monitor care plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
Recognize signs of distress and respond effectively to crisis situations.
Provide emotional support and de-escalation techniques to clients experiencing crisis.
Coordinate with emergency services and healthcare professionals as needed.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, social workers, and healthcare providers.
Supportive work environment with a mission-driven team dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.
To be successful with your application you must have experience in the Mental Health sector with an understanding of Mental Health and Illness, and be a compassionate, empathetic, and understanding individual. You must be a team player and be proactive to make a difference.
