Business Development Executive Trade/Construction
Location: Hybrid – Hampshire/West Sussex/Surrey/Berkshire Based
Salary: £35,000 Basic Salary + 10% Bonus + Pension + 25 days holiday + Employee Discount
Background: Our client is one of the UK’s leading Trade, DIY and Home Improvement retailers. They are currently growing the B2B side of their business and are seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development Executive to work alongside the existing team to execute this growth.
Job Purpose: Support the growth of our client’s B2B operations by assisting the National Account Manager and Marketing Manager. Manage a pipeline of work in line with our client’s B2B strategy and expansion plans.
Role Objective: Improve operational efficiency by managing customer recruitment, maintaining databases, and providing reports. Support stakeholders to drive long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and support new opportunities.
Analyse customer data to improve retention and growth.
Maintain CRM records and assist with reporting.
Conduct outreach to prospects via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
Contribute to sales strategies and team meetings.
Present product value propositions and engage customers.
Provide feedback to product development.
Manage pipeline and performance reporting.Client Relationships:
Build and maintain a network in target sectors.
Coordinate client quotes and tenders.
Support the Account Manager in client relationship management.
Engage with sectors to anticipate business opportunities.Operational Efficiency:
Maintain CRM records and prepare reports.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders for smooth operations.Networking/Events:
Organize and represent the company at networking events.
Facilitate client hospitality to nurture relationships.Key Measures & Targets:
Update market intelligence reports.
Measure client engagement and conversion rates.
Introduce new clients and report on customer satisfaction.Key Relationships:

B2B clients and partnersEssential Criteria:
Proven sales experience in generating new business.
Experience in building B2B relationships.
Knowledge of Trade or Construction is desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication.
CRM proficiency.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
