National Safety Systems Improvement Manager
Location: Hybrid - Nationwide Travel
Salary: ~ £60,000 + Car Allowance + Milage + Additional Benefits
We've been engaged by a leading Nationwide Fresh Produce Manufacturer and Distributor to recruit a National Safety Systems Improvement Manager. This role is specifically focused on working alongside Operation Managers and the wider HSE Team to drive a positive Safety System initiatives throughout the business group.
Responsibilities of the National Safety Systems Improvement Manager will include:
Manage and develop Health & Safety management system and standards ensuring these are reflective of legal and company requirements across the entire group.
Identify new technologies and industry best practice to ensure continuous improvement of the management system including the development & management of a software-based contractor management system in conjunction with the regional Health & Safety teams
Manage the central log of all H&S actions from audits, insurance inspections, claims, incidents and manage the external ISO certification programme including the co-ordination of nonconformances and associated actions.
Develop & manage organisational Health & Safety performance dashboard which includes key KPI's and information for the SLT.
Support new site start-ups in conjunction with Regional Safety Partners and provide focused depot support where the requirement has been identified
The successful National Safety Systems Improvement Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related Manufacturing, FMCG or Warehousing/Distribution environment
Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or working towards) and Membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body.
A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation.
An enthusiastic and positive approach to health and safety.
