The New Wimbledon Theatreis one of the great London venues, with a rich history that dates back to its opening in 1910. Our programming is varied, with Theatre, Comedy, Music, Dance and Panto all part of the calendar. Increasingly, the venue is attracting major theatrical tour openings such as Player Kings starring Sir Ian McKellen in March 2024 and the hugely successful show Warhorse in September 2024, to name just two. For this and many other reasons, now is a very exciting time to lead the New Wimbledon Theatre as the venue looks to raise its profile to a national level.

TheTheatre Directorwithin this venue is a major player in the local community - this role drives performance, profit and service delivery to customers, producers and the business. The incomingTheatre Directorwill be instrumental in elevating the reach and status of the venue and should be an ambitious visionary with the drive to transform the growth of the operation.

Key responsibilities within this role are to contribute to ATGs strategic goals by developing an ambitious vision and corresponding business plan for your venue, and implementing short-, medium and long-term plans to achieve the plan. Youll strive to achieve, or exceed, budget expectations and ensure your venue is perceived to be vital to its community, and a desired destination for customers and producers. Delivering inspiring leadership both internally and externally is an absolute must in this role
