About the role:
Are you an experienced and reliable Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic school community in the heart of Hackney. As an SEN TA specialising in challenging behaviours, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with unique learning needs. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your expertise will help create a positive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN students.
• Specialism in managing and supporting challenging behaviours.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Use effective behaviour management techniques to support student engagement.
