This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Service Manager to join DWP's Product Support team and be part of a huge government department supporting over 20 million citizens every day.

In this IT Service Manager job:
- You will manage problems and issues effectively by monitoring them with a diverse range of stakeholders and collaborating to share information and resources.
- You'll be responsible for progressing incidents, tickets and queries - with appropriate prioritisation, processes, procedures, and policies.
- You'll manage end user communication and expectations effectively to ensure people are satisfied when using and accessing the product or service.
- You will implement necessary activities and interventions tailored to the product or service.
- You will keep your knowledge of your product/service up to date to stay ahead of changes.
- You'll contribute to pre and post release activities to ensure seamless support for new and modified products/services in Live service.
- You'll give and ensure high-quality support for all end users, understanding the business impact and assisting in resolving incidents, issues, and queries.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Previous experience of IT Service Management including: Knowledge of a Service Management Framework e.g. ITIL
- Demonstrable experience of independently supporting and maintaining an application which records, tracks, and controls complex decision outcomes
- Experience of maintaining close relationships with customers to understand their needs.
- Experience of identifying and executing opportunities to improve IT processes and services and measure the effects of these efforts over time.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%.
