Are you a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a background in water infrastructure? We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead and manage multiple high-value projects across four sites in Hertfordshire. If you have the experience, drive, and leadership skills to oversee several Project Managers and ensure successful project delivery, we want to hear from you


About the Role:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take charge of a portfolio consisting of 4 major projects, each ranging from £5M to £15M in value. You will provide strategic oversight, guiding 3 to 4 Project Managers, and ensuring that each project meets its targets for quality, cost, and timeline. You’ll be a visible presence on-site, visiting projects 3 to 4 days a week as needed.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Leadership: You must be capable of managing multiple projects and Project Managers simultaneously, ensuring that each job is run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Industry Expertise: A strong background in the water sector is essential, with experience in Tier 1, non-infrastructure projects.
  • Commitment: We’re looking for someone who can commit to this long-term role, providing stability and expertise over the next 5 years as part of the AMP 8 framework.
  • Visibility & Presence: You’ll need to be hands-on, regularly visiting sites to provide guidance and ensure project success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of 4 major projects, with individual Project Managers on each site.
  • Provide leadership and support to Project Managers, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to deliver.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Be a key figure in restructuring efforts, reallocating resources as necessary to meet project demands.
  • Act as the main point of contact for senior management, ensuring clear communication and reporting on project progress.
