Position Overview: A leading carbon capture organization is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to oversee the development, construction, testing, and commissioning of an innovative project.

Project Status: The initiative is nearing the completion of its detailed design phase, and a preferred contractor has been selected.

Contract Details: This role is offered on a temporary basis for a specified duration at a competitive daily rate.

Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Engineering Director and will be accountable for managing all aspects of project delivery from inception to completion.

Work Arrangement: This position allows for a hybrid working model, requiring both remote and on-site presence, with a greater emphasis on office attendance. Additionally, there will be a need for monthly travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the governance and execution of the project, employing suitable project management methodologies to ensure that objectives are clearly defined and met.
  • Define roles and responsibilities within the project team, ensuring adherence to the organization’s broader decision-making frameworks.
  • Oversee the management of the construction contract through external consultants, from initial negotiations to project handover, ensuring delivery within budget.
  • Establish and maintain project review and reporting mechanisms, providing the leadership team with precise and pertinent information along with strategic recommendations at designated review intervals.
  • Hold the internal team accountable for their contractual obligations, ensuring that site progress remains uninterrupted.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project delivery, preferably within the Water and Wastewater Treatment, Industrial, and Process Control sectors.
  • Proven experience in testing and systems commissioning.
  • Fluency in French is desirable but not a requirement for this position.
