Mego Employment LTD is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a Quality/Health and Safety Manager to join our client's team-a leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke paediatric equipment for children and young people with special needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile: The perfect candidate will have substantial experience in a production or factory environment, focusing on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices, alongside continuous improvement initiatives.
Role Overview: In this crucial role, you will be pivotal in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production environment. Your contributions will ensure compliance with health and safety standards and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques, including FMEA, C&E, 5S, Six Sigma, 8D, and Kaizen.
Manage registers for hazardous materials, compliance, and risk assessments.
Generate and review risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assist field staff in creating effective risk assessments.
Investigate accidents and provide comprehensive reports on root causes.
Offer expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters.Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in health & safety, quality, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
In-depth understanding of relevant HS&E legislation and its application to site activities.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Proven leadership abilities.
Experience working in compliance with ISO 9001 (ISO 13485 & ISO 14001 experience is desirable).
Demonstrated track record of implementing a lean manufacturing culture.
Experience in change management.Benefits:
