About the career opportunity


You will play a crucial role in facilitating and coordinating various commercial, legal, regulatory and compliance activities within Y corp. This career opportunity involves coordinating and managing various aspects of the commercial team function, including, but not limited to, various contracts and agreements such as Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, NDA’s as well as compliance documentation relating to due diligence, KYC and data protection throughout the lifecycle of the agreement.


The Commercial Coordinator also supports across all Business Units to provide a point of contact for legal queries, as well as an administrative function to ensure smooth operations and efficient business processes.


This role requires an effective communicator able to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, clients and suppliers in a fast paced, evolving organisation.


The role accountabilities include (but are not limited to):


  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts and agreements across the entire agreement lifecycle.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks and provide support to the commercial team and wider Business Units.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and databases related to commercial activities.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
  • Support financial activities including vendor order and invoice processing.
  • Collaborating and assisting on matters relating to data protection, privacy and cyber security including with the research and drafting of applicable policies and data protection agreements.
  • Assisting with Trade Mark and Intellectual Property portfolio management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Maintain and update contract and IP repository and monitor contract deadlines.
  • Assisting with the preparation, review and execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Coordinating, recording and monitoring vendor due diligence and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for the commercial team.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain positive relationships.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc projects and other activities as required.


About You


Experience, Qualifications


LLB or other legal qualification and demonstrable interest in commercial law, intellectual property or data privacy law. Experience as a paralegal, even in non-related field, would be highly beneficial.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with contract management and legal terminology.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a friendly, can-do approach
  • The ability to explain complex information clearly and with a problem solving can do mindset
  • Have excellent listening and questioning skills along with the ability to provide feedback and guidance in a constructive and positive manner
  • Skilled in influencing, building relationships and mediation
  • Work well as part of a team as well as autonomously and have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • IT literate; Competent with a PC and MS Office.
  • Resilient under pressure and confident to question decisions when necessary
