We are working with an organisation that is looking to hire a procurement manager on temporary basis.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Contracts Manager to join their growing team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation procures goods and services effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic procurement processes for a diverse range of goods and services.
Oversee the entire contract life-cycle, from initial vendor identification to negotiation, finalisation, and ongoing management.
Lead and manage the tendering process, encompassing the creation of comprehensive tender documents, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
Assume responsibility for the organisation's contract register, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues on procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimise the Trust's procurement spend.
Requirements:
A relevant business or professional qualification, or demonstrably equivalent specialist knowledge gained through experience.
Proven experience within a procurement environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
The capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Membership of a recognised procurement professional body (e.g., CIPS) or actively working towards qualification.
A project management qualification.
Experience leading and motivating a team.
Familiarity with various supplier landscapes.
Knowledge of contract law.
Salary:
An hourly rate of £24 and benefits package.
