Risk, Finance and Treasury (RFT) Technology is responsible for CTB and RTB technology management which deliver and maintain front to back technology solutions to the Chief Risk Office, Finance and Treasury departments. Our departments’ scope includes the definition of IT strategy and its safe and controlled implementation. RFT is looking to recruit an experienced Portfolio Lead with proven experience in Technology delivery and governance, planning, tracking, reporting, and Financial management.

You will work in a team with responsibility for the successful execution of several key initiatives including Cloud Transformation Strategy and the Service Orientated Architecture Strategy. You will work closely with the sub-domain stakeholders (Chief Information Officers, Project Managers and Domain Architects) as well as the parent Initiative, to ensure the delivery teams are executing against plans and meeting their targets.

The successful candidate should be a problem solver and be able to engage in the requirements of an ask and navigate complex organisation structures to establish a suitable response.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for identifying and managing the critical path of the various initiatives
  • You will be able to understand technical challenges to application and process transformation
  • You will be required to respond quickly to frequent fire drills and ad hoc requests; making priority decisions and communicating clearly with impacted stakeholders
  • You will drive the build out of the transformation roadmap, holding planning sessions as well as supporting SMEs to articulate their deliverables and challenges
  • You will help maintain oversight of the programme sub-streams and delivery against objectives
  • You will facilitate technical working groups (working with Engineers, Architects and CIOs)

Your skills and experience

  • Experience of working as a Portfolio Manager/ Technical Delivery Lead, reporting to senior audiences
  • Strong organizational skills managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Ability to identify and track complex and critical dependencies across a matrix organisation
  • Ability to listen and positively influence diverse stakeholders and team members
  • Excellent presentation skills using a variety of tools (powerpoint, excel)
  • Hands on experience with JIRA, Sharepoint, Confluence and Clarity
