Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS is actively seeking a Regulatory Paralegal for a 6-month contract, based in London (occasional travel to office).
Purpose of the Role
You'll be reviewing the Contractual (Rulebooks) and Legal documentation on a line-by-line basis for the Trading Venues NWM utilises. You'll be working with Legal, Compliance and the Business to ensure the output meets the needs of the different functions for the different types of venue by clearly describing NWMs obligations.
Your responsibility as a Regulatory Paralegal:
Support the Venue outreach exercise to obtain and store the Contractual and Legal documentation.
Work with the Legal, Compliance and the Business to agree the review format and the level of detail required.
Deliver the reviews in the priority order required by the stakeholders, working with the stakeholders to remediate any QA comments / feedback on the review output.
Recording all obligations and presenting them to the working group and agree ownership to ensure ongoing compliance.
Support with the creation and update of plans as required by the PMO Lead.
Assist the TOM stream in the design of the future state model for the BAU review processes required to support Contractual (Rulebooks) and Legal documentation.
Assist in the preparation of the programme status or project highlight reports to escalate risks and issues to senior executives.
Record actions and minutes for internal and external meetings to ensure stakeholders are made aware of key decisions relating.What we require from the candidate:
Financial service background.
Clearing house experience.
Exposure to global regulation, MiFID II, US SEC, CFTC etc.
Expertise in tools such as MS Office.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to present to senior stakeholders.This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
