We currently have an opportunity available for a Developing Technical Support Engineer (Level 1) to join our CAME UK Technical Support Team, based at Castle Donington.


The Technical Support Engineer role is hands-on and a real opportunity for someone with a positive ‘can do’ attitude to imbed within the existing team, working together to successfully deal with technical related customer enquiries, as well as diagnosing and solving technical issues over the phone.


At CAME, specialists in cutting-edge home and building security products, you’ll enjoy a role working alongside our existing Technical Support team of Senior and Developing Technical Support Engineers, specialising in customer technical support of our range of Gate Automation and Door Entry, Access Control and related security products.


You will need to be somebody who is a strong team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and an enthusiasm to learn. As a business to business company, developing good relationships with our customer base and exceptional service is vital for our continued success.


Our products are technical high-flyers when it comes to cloud and smartphone connectivity, with remote management and problem-solving capabilities. As part of this role you will learn all about our Gate Automation and Intercom & Access Control products and will in time be able to explain the technical intricacies, building value from demonstrating trustworthy product knowledge in order to fully support our customers.



YOUR NEXT ROLE…

DEVELOPING Technical Support Engineer (Level 1)

(up to £22,000 per annum OTE package, dependant on experience)

  • A hands-on role, with huge amounts of variety and the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and over time progress into a senior Level 2 role within the team
  • Support from our knowledgeable and experienced directors, senior management team and Internal Teams, who all pull together no matter what the job at hand is



Do You Offer?

  • Demonstrable customer service skills, with a friendly professional approach
  • An aptitude for understanding and explaining technical product information
  • Some experience of installation and support of technical products
  • Some basic knowledge of electrical theory, practises and standards.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop your technical knowledge

Our office, in Castle Donington, is ideally located between Derby and Nottingham, just off the A50 and minutes from junction 24a of the M1.
