In the role of Manager, Talent Acquisition for our Enterprise you will be at the forefront of driving significant transformation. This role, spans all aspects of talent including the way in which we acquire, select, and mobilize new and existing talents across our business to meet business demands but to also enable our teams to fulfill their full career potential at Pearson.

Position Summary:nThe role of Talent (TA) Manager is one of strategic importance in our goal to attract, retain and engage the best talent for the core Enterprise-wide job families spanning all divisions and locations. In this position you will play a dual role; The first component of which being to support the overarching Global TA transformation agenda- adopting and driving principles, practices and standards as set by the Global TA CoE across your teams and business areas. The second being to act as an integral part of the business, advocating for and educating on best-in-class talent practices as well as being proactive in the development of TA pipelining, branding, referral campaigns, go to market activation plans and talent acquisition strategies to meet the organizations talent needs, now and in the future.nAs a strong business partner, influencer, and expert in your space you will collaborate with your HRBPs to ensure we are operating as One HR, always aligned, and connected on pain points and successes. You will be a strong people leader, with a keen focus on performance and engagement. Understanding and maximizing on your teams’ strengths desires and limitations to create the optimal level of focus and result.

Some key areas of focus in this role include:nAn advocate, educator and champion for business and HR on what Great TA looks like. Ensuring that we are working as one to deliver the best possible talent with the best possible experience.nA strong partner, building trust and credibility through performance results and expertise.nTo create a level of agility within your team maximizing resources to ensure all roles are managed with the same level of speed, attention, and dedication.nTo be a conduit for talent performance with your own team and business areas- regularly soliciting and acting upon feedback to create the conditions for growth.nPartner with supporting functions and teams to proactively understand and highlight areas of opportunity or risk to ensure business continuity.nLeverage data to drive operational effectiveness (Team & business), drive performance and identify quick wins/gaps in our operations to be rectified.nStandardise, stabilise, and create a level of consistency in practises and processes (where applicable) to minimise legal or reputational repercussions as a result of hiring practices.nIdentify ways to provide a best-in-class candidate experience and interview process across all points of the candidate’s lifecycle adapting where necessary.nTrack, analyse and communicate talent trends, making recommendations for changes and improvements to stay ahead of market conditions. This includes TA dashboards for HR and Business stakeholders.nIdentify, source and/or develop appropriate tools and processes to support business direction.nAttend Leadership meetings and provide updates to senior management.nBe an ambassador for diversity as a growth lever ensuring we maximise all channels and opportunities to present a diverse candidate slate for selection.

Ability to put that knowledge to use through the development of continuous improvement plans and or other programs of work.nSelf-starter with a keen sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and scaling environmentnCoach and develop line managers to be competent with writing/updating job descriptions, CV screening, candidate management, ORC usage, interviewing skills and giving positive and constructive feedback.nMonitor relevant labour legislation and implement required changes to keep the process compliant, including full compliance, end-to-end, with GDPR and other global data protection laws.
