We are looking for a Digital Hardware Engineer to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of control centre hardware products, tools, and processes. In this role, you will manage work packages to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery while mentoring junior team members. Additionally, you will oversee product obsolescence activities, ensuring seamless hardware transitions and upgrades across multiple boards and systems.
This position involves designing both analogue and digital circuits, handling PCB layout, and managing product validation and verification (V&V) processes. You will work across industrial PC configurations, new product introduction (NPI) documentation, and product approval to ensure that systems are aligned with industry standards and remain up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design and development of hardware products and systems.
Oversee product obsolescence activities, including board re-design and firmware migration.
Ensure products are EMC compliant, supporting the integration of COTS-based hardware with custom application software.
Support product testing, approval, and software integration to maintain functionality.
Mentor team members, providing technical leadership to enhance the overall capability of the team.
Develop and maintain V&V test specifications for hardware products.Qualifications & Experience:
Degree or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, including PCB design (Altium preferred).
Knowledge of EMC compliance and EMC testing.
Experience with PC-based solutions, OS deployment, and configuration.
Proficient in V&V testing and producing technical specifications.
Understanding of FPGA, CPLD, and RTOS systems is a plus.
Familiarity with memory technologies, SoM, CoM, and various bus protocols like PCIe, SPI, I2C, UARTs, etc.Desirable Skills:
Experience with obsolescence management in hardware design.
Ability to work with embedded software and development tools.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and compliance regulations.
Mentorship experience within engineering teams
