This consultancy is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineer to become part of a team working on a variety of projects across various sectors including defence, blue light and life science throughout the UK.
The post will offer the successful applicant an interesting, challenging and varied workload as well as allowing them to develop personally and professionally, as an engineer.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be involved in technically diverse projects and will deliver innovative design solutions across a broad range of clients across multiple sectors. Forging a strong relationship with every client you will support the project Director and lead teams of engineers and technicians to deliver the project, providing structural engineering design and technical reports and managing the delivery of the wider team.
Ideally, your portfolio will encompass a wider range of projects undertaking design in both steelwork and concrete.
You will ideally hold security clearance to a minimum of SC level but if not then be willing to apply for the necessary clearance.
Role Requirements
* Work with the team to deliver projects.
* Liaise with Tetra Tech disciplines to coordinate design and manage specialist input/surveys.
* Manage project finances.
* Design structural engineering elements using various materials.
* Conduct condition surveys and prepare technical reports.
* Provide technical assistance to the structural engineering team.
* Ensure project delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
* Exercise autonomy in decision-making to achieve team objectives.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and site procedures.
* Assist in contract administration to meet time and budget requirements.
