We are looking for a London On-trade Manager in London.

The successful candidate will report to the UK Country Manager.


Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Collaborate with the Managers to execute and evolve the On-trade channel strategy for a designated list of customer accounts.

• Assess and analyze promotional initiatives, leveraging insights to enhance their effectiveness.

• Proactively identify new opportunities, secure new business, and foster existing relationships for mutually beneficial partnerships.

• Provide accurate financial and volume forecasts.

• Oversee a diverse range of customers, both direct and indirect, with a focus on expanding distribution and enhancing visibility of our core and rare product offerings across brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce platforms.

• Work within a recently established channel-specific Trading Terms framework, linking investments to specific criteria.

• Deepen your knowledge of the channel, maintaining a keen understanding of the spirits and licensed trade market to ensure business plans and practices remain responsive to market dynamics and customer demands.

• Collaborate cross-functionally within the team and broader departments, including Marketing, Finance, and Brand Departments.

• Develop, implement, and manage joint business plans to ensure the realization of agreed-upon objectives aligned with the commercial and business unit strategy.

• Exercise your ability to influence key customer stakeholders, securing distribution, enhanced features, and new business opportunities.

• Developing and implementing sales strategies for on-trade establishments in the UK, considering the competitive landscape and customer needs.

• Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with key clients such as bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels.

• Analyzing the market and trends in the bar and restaurant industry to identify new opportunities for sales growth and business expansion.

• Organizing events and promotional activities in on-trade establishments to promote the company's products.

• Training on-trade staff on the company's products and beverage serving methods.

• Managing budgets and reporting on sales and the effectiveness of activities.


The ideal candidate should have:

• A minimum of 5 years of on trade sales experience in the UK spirits industry/FMCG

• A thorough knowledge of marketing and selling a global brand name in on trade London accounts is a must.

• An academic qualification in Business/Marketing is a plus.

• A thorough understanding of the industry, including the UK On-Trade Spirits Market and the brand itself, is a must.

• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from data.

• Robust commercial understanding, as well as strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• The ability to interact and drive changes at different levels.

• Strong team player with the capability to work independently.
