The role: They are seeking a personable, smart, and articulate Business Development Manager to join their team. Your personality and ethos are as, if not more important than skill set.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, experience or knowledge in the commercial cleaning or similar industry, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients. This role involves working one day a week from their office and the remaining days out in the field, actively selling their services and developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to identify and secure new corporate clients for their commercial cleaning services.
Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Identify, present and demonstrate the benefits of their services to potential clients, tailoring pitches to address their specific requirements offering solutions to their problems
Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Build a sales pipeline using CRM tools
Collaborate with the team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support sales efforts including social media channels.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to the management team. Qualifications and Skills:
Proven sales experience, ideally within the commercial cleaning industry or a related field.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning processes, products, and industry standards.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to put people at ease and build rapport quickly.
Strong presence on LinkedIn with an established record of B2B posts and connections
Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully closing deals.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required. Attributes
