Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Operation Engage Youth and Family Practitioner for a Local Authority Client based in North London.
In this role, you will engage with young people in custody, providing targeted interventions and support to divert them from re-offending and help them achieve positive outcomes.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
Use screening tools to assess the unique needs and risks of each young person, including social, emotional, and educational factors.
Develop and deliver tailored interventions aimed at addressing the specific challenges faced by young people.
Provide information, advice, and guidance to young people and their families, making referrals to relevant support services and community resources as needed.
Work with a network of partners, including schools, probation services, and local community organisations, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to support.
Monitor for any safeguarding issues, ensuring appropriate reporting in line with local safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the well-being of young people.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Minimum of 2 years working with vulnerable children and young people aged 11-19.
Ability to assess, manage, and support a caseload of young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Experience in promoting the personal and social development of young people through various activities and programs.
Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and accurately reporting outcomes to inform future practice.
What's on offer:
Salary: £21+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week
