V-Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to start work in the Liverpool, L33 area as soon as possible.
This is a permanent, part-time or full-time position for a leading, reputable and growing Electrical Building Services company.
This is a fast paced, and varied role, made up of both permanent employees and contractors on the payroll at any one time.
Your duties and responsibilities would include:
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Update computerised accounting records for the business, ensuring accuracy
* Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
* WIP Reporting and sales accounting information
* Oversee CIS process ensuring all contractors are processed correctly
* Provide Management with updates concerning financial performance
* Oversee HMRC statutory reporting and payments
* Reconciliation of supplier ledgers
* Oversee payroll process including management of employee time sheets
* Assist with administration, correspondence and queries both internally and externally
To be considered for this role, you will:
* Be competent in the use of Sage and Excel, with strong IT skills
* An educational background in Finance or accounting (AAT preferred)
* Knowledge of CIS and Payroll legislation
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
* Strong organisation and time management skills
Job specifics
This is a permanent, part time or fulltime role, with a minimum of 2-3 days to be worked per week but could also offer full time work if required but additional admin duties would be required in the office.
Salary between £25-30k (full-time hours) per annum, depending on experience
Hybrid work, with up to 1 day per week WFH available after initial training/induction period
Working hours are between 7:30 - 5pm Monday to Friday, minimum of 8 hours to be worked each day
The candidate
We are looking for applications from candidates with at least 3 years of continuous bookkeeping experience.
Experience paying both CIS contractors and PAYE employees and SAGE experience is required
