We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to join a leading Canadian construction company. This is a fantastic opportunity for project managers from the UK to relocate and manage significant commercial and institutional construction projects in Halifax, with values over $25 million. As an Intermediate Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily management of construction projects over $25 million, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Working closely with the project team, you will provide leadership across all aspects of project execution and help foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, coordinating with the project team and subcontractors.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed, providing safety leadership and implementing the company’s Safety Program.
Manage project budgets and control costs, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Administer prime contracts and subcontracts, including negotiations, awarding contracts, and reviewing subcontractor performance.
Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project performance and financials. Requirements:
Proven experience managing commercial or institutional construction projects over $25 million.
Completed education in a construction-related field.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on team development.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, schedules, and contracts.
Competency in MS Office, including MS Project; experience with Viewpoint Project Management system is an asset. Why Join Us?
