Shanly Homes - the privately-owned, award-winning regional housebuilder - is looking for a Land Director to source and acquire land and development opportunities across Bucks, Berks and North London.

About the rolenActively seek off market and directly sourced land opportunities which align with the company’s strategy.nConduct land appraisals in line with our robust system to determine the valuation of potential development land.nUtilise your established relationships with local authorities, agents, landowners and other developers to keep up to date on current and future market opportunities.nSuccessfully negotiate and manage offers for land in line with company budgets.nLead on the preparation of site profitability statements, putting together development programmes, sales market research and acquisition build budgets.nEnsure the successful delivery of planning applications and decisions by liaising with the planning team and external consultants.nWork collaboratively with the wider teams to enable a smooth transition once a site has been secured.nAssist land team members with other major projects, providing sound advice and guidance.

Skills and experiencenStrong experience in sourcing and managing own land acquisition leads and negotiations within the residential property sector.nSound geographical knowledge of the area.nA strong team motivator with the drive and tenacity to achieve goals.nDemonstratable knowledge and application of current planning and government legislation.nAdept, confident and credible individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.nA comprehensive network of contacts.nExceptional negotiating and influencing skills; a confident and professional networker.nInnovative thinker with the ability to identify, consider and resolve issues.
