Reporting to the Land Director, you will support the land team to ensure the flow of work for the southern region (Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent). The role will be based from the Beaconsfield office with hot desking available from the Leatherhead office if/when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with land agents and land owners to identify potential development opportunities.
- Develop an understanding of what constitutes an acceptable site for the business.
- Carry out technical appraisals of sites to determine their viability for development.
- Conduct market research on sales values and specification to inform development decisions.
- Provide information to update development programmes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Liaise with technical, build, commercial, and sales departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Prepare site profitability statements, including development programmes, sales market research, and acquisition build budgets.
- Regularly monitor relevant Local Authority Planning Application registers for potential development opportunities and make contact with owners as necessary.
- Monitor Local Authority Local Plan processes to identify possible development opportunities and make initial contact with landowners where appropriate.
- Obtain service information and quotations to inform development decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of bids with other land team members as directed.
- Collaborate with land team members to source relevant content for exchange packs.
- Stay up-to-date with work requirements and attend company meetings as necessary.
- Comply with company control regulation systems and conduct yourself in a manner that will not jeopardize or adversely affect the company's operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role with a residential and/or commercial developer.
- Land, Planning, Law, or similar qualification.
- MRTPI or MRICS qualification is ideal.
- Knowledge of the development industry and its key players.
- Personable and able to build strong working relationships.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
Benefits:
- Attractive salary of £33,000 - £40,000 per annum.
- Strong benefits package, including a £4,500 car allowance.
