You will be a highly motivated individual who will be able to direct and coordinate the purchase of a range of materials for the Company whilst ensuring that they are working in accordance with specifications, budgets and agreed quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Analysing the daily stock requirement spreadsheet, placing necessary purchase orders using supplier pricing structures set up by the buyers.
* Monitoring purchase orders to ensure that materials are confirmed, delivered on time, at the agreed price, within the agreed specification whilst complying with quality standards.
* Maintaining regular supplier contact, resolving any problems to meet production requirements.
* Maintaining regular contact with factory management, planning and customer service teams.
* Maintaining and updating raw material 'Goods In' schedule for the Warehouse Department, keeping within daily and weekly delivery quotas.
* Associated administration work.
* Assisting Inventory and Supply Chain Managers on weekly/monthly raw materials reporting demands where required.
You will be able to demonstrate:
* 2 years procurement experience (minimum), ideally from food or manufacturing industry.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to balance conflicting demands
* Excellent time management with ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Prioritising skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
* Excellent analytical skills.
* IT Literate (Excel)
* Committed, reliable team player.
* ERP knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
