Job Summary

We are seeking a Stores and Inspection Technician to join our team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our bonded stores, incoming inspections, and bonding operations. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, in the range of £30,000 - £45,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure smooth purchasing and project activities.
  • Maintain quality standards by identifying and addressing any issues or opportunities that may impact the organization.
  • Collaborate with line managers to address quality or non-conformance issues.
  • Update project procurement sheets and MRP system records.
  • Manage bonded stores, including performing incoming inspections of parts upon delivery.
  • Bond components into the bonded stores system.
  • Kitting out parts per project in a timely manner.
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts and annual stock takes to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Record checked out non-bonded and bonded items.
  • Ensure COSHH cabinet documentation is up to date.
  • Pack and ship goods as needed.


Requirements:
  • Technical knowledge of machined components.
  • Comprehensive understanding of detailed drawings, surface finishes, tolerances, materials, etc.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems.
  • Practical experience with metrology equipment is essential.
  • Ability to operate stack trucks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude towards problem-solving and ability to provide sound solutions.
  • Attention to detail and preference for writing and following processes and procedures.
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to deliver within defined timescales and meet program milestones.
  • Good prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
